She is a great teacher. You will learn in this class. Uses Proctorio for her exams if you take her online class. Always ask her for help, she will point you in the right direction. Your exams are a big part of your grade.

I have never had such an amazing experience learning bio through my 3 years of HS and 2 sems in college. She cares so much wants her students to do well. She sends u a personal reminder when a due date is coming up and super clear grading expectations (saved me a couple of times). She makes it hard not to do well with a when she cares this much.

Professor Fierro is one of the best Biology professors I have taken so far at Rio Hondo. I've learned so much compared to high school Biology. She's always willing to help out with anything. Her lecture videos are very enjoyable to watch. Make sure to focus on her lecture videos and take your time when it comes to taking the exams.

Professor Fierro is very nice. Lecture videos are interesting to watch and easy to understand. She responds fairly quickly to emails and tries to help students as much as she can. The labs aren't difficult as long as you read through it. She provides lab guides to help you through each one. Tests are based off of her lectures.

Professor Fierro is the best professor I have ever had. The level of dedication which she has for her students in unmatched. She goes above and beyond to make sure that you understand the content. She is super accessible outside of class and extremely approachable. Biology is not my favorite subject, but she made it very enjoyable and memorable. :)

Extreme to assign long labs, along with chem assignments and quizzes at the same time. Not considering students have other classes, are parents, work, or are dealing with severe mental illness. Some of these labs need tools you wouldn't have at home but a bio class.. which in this pandemic we are not attending which u'd think she'd accommodate to..

I am currently taking this professor, and will review again once the semester is over. BIo 105 is a hard course with lots of assignments, readings, and knowledge. However, she is super kind and accessible. Even though I am struggling a bit in her course, I currently have an A. She is a great professor and one that will stick with you for a while.

My favorite professor at Rio Hondo! Her outlines help a ton. Tests are long but if you study the power points and the outlines you'll be fine. Take as many pictures of the specimens in Lab and draw as accurate as possible. Beware the Lab if you don't study you'll regret it.

She is an incredible professor. She cares and genuinely wants every single person to pass her class. She is funny and very friendly. By far the best Bio professor. Visit her during office hours, she loves to talk and gives great feedback. I highly recommend her.

The most amazing professor I've ever had. Her lectures are incredible! She's not a tricky grader and doesn't give trick questions on the test. She's very clear and explains things in an easy way. She loves to help and loves engaging students! She's a gem and full of knowledge. She's always available after class if you need help. Will def take again

she gives handouts that you can print out and its basically the lecture and you just fill in parts of it. Study the handouts and you should be good. Shes really nice and wants you to learn the subject and is easily reachable out of class. She makes biology fun. Im going to take her for all my biology classes if i can

Absolutely the BEST teacher I have ever had! Not only does she care about her students passing, but she cares about their overall well being. Like every other subject, if you put in the time to study, you'll pass! She'll explain herself 20 times if she needs to to help you understand. I wish I could take her in all my science classes!

She's absolutely amazing! Just study off her powerpoint or the textbook and you'll do great. She post quizzes online and you can do it from home. You don't really need the textbook, but I read the textbook anyways. So she is not hard to pass unless you don't put in literally no effort.

Professor Fierro is one of the best professors Ive ever had. Super kind, very informative and really has a love for teaching and her students. She wants everyone to learn and is always there if you have a question. Very structured and organized lecture and tests are based on her lecture notes. Biology in high school was so hard but when I was in her class she made it so easy. I love how she does her lectures and how she breaks down material. She is the best professor I ever had in my first year. She is the happiest professor I ever took that loves their job so much and considers her students as her children. BEST BIO TEACHER EVER.

Biology and science is NOT my greatest subject and I have always struggled but she truly breaks down the material so everyone can understand. She is passionate about science and actually cares to get to know her students. LOVED HER CLASS. Show up and put decent effort for a good grade. If you struggle with science she is someone you wanna look into

Professor Fierro was awesome! Only got a B because I chose not to study as much as I should have. She is clear and extremely helpful! She really loves what she does and makes it fun for us. I wish she taught business classes, those professors are pretty dry. lol

She is so funny and makes learning bio so much fun. Coming into her class I was unsure that I was going to continue as a bio major but she reminded me why I want to major in it! She posts lectures online but go b/c she sometimes makes revisions to her PowerPoints before lecture. If you have the fortune of taking her class you will NOT regret it!!

Professor Fierro was my favorite and the best professor Ive ever had at Rio. Shes hilarious, she makes learning fun and interesting, and she genuinely cares about her students and tries her absolute best to answer all of our questions and make herself available to us. If you have the opportunity to have her as a professor, take it! You'll love her!
