As a person, he's probably one of the nicest, most caring people you'll ever meet, especially when compared with other university professors. As a teacher however, he's maybe slightly above average. Regardless, it's hard to think of him in any negative manner because of how sweet he is. I'd give him 5/5 for personality but 3/5 for actual teaching.

He is very nice but I have never known him actually solve a question on the board from start to end in a step by step manner. He just puts up notes/solutions and then just talks about them. If you read the chapter before class then maybe you might understand what he is talking about but otherwise I have learned zero things in class.

I have so much respect for Ed. He is the most kind, precious man I have ever met in my life. He genuinely cares about your success in the course and about you as a person. Very easy to see out of class and will help you until you understand the material. If you ever get the chance please take one of Eds classes

I have never met a professor that has bothered to remember all of his student's names, until I took this course with Ed Nowicki. This man is truly a kind soul who wants nothing more than for his student's to succeed. He was always crystal clear on what to expect on tests, so just put in the work and your mark will reflect that perfectly.

This professor is the most caring person i have ever met in the whole engineering department, he respects you a lot, if you are in trouble just talk to him, he gives the best feedback and advices ever. The class was very easy, you will ace it.

This man is an angel. Extremely approachable and truly cares about the students and their success. Ed is very clear on what you should expect to see on the quizzes and final. As long as you understand the assignments you will do well in this class. I would also highly recommend visiting Ed for a chat, he is an absolute gem!

The best and nicest prof of all time and possibly the nicest and most respectable human you will ever meet in your life. Literally everything about him was amazing. Do your work, go to lectures and meet with him once in a while for help and you're basically set. He is truly beyond an A+ soul.

One of the nicest profs I've ever had in my life. I can't comment on how helpful his lectures were with respect to content and what we were being tested on, however he was very fair and lenient with marking, and was clear on what needed to be done in order to get a good grade.

Every engineer should have at least one professor like Dr. Nowicki in their degree. He's the kind of person who goes beyond the books and also makes you think about the kind of engineer you want to be. Truly an inspirational individual and the most kind professor I have ever had. Very glad I took this course and got to learn from him.

This guy reminds me of this one time Wikipedia was down. Course content is very difficult, but markers are very lenient, not hard to do well in the course if you put in the effort. Lots of interesting info in this course

Amazing prof. Don't skip class; Ed draws diagrams that will be on test (unless you can get them from a friend). Ask Ed for his advice on your project topic (likely to get a better mark). Group presentation isn't graded, but he's known to be a difficult marker on the report. Practice test is basically the test, but also study the summary notes.

Dr. Ed is truly an "A+ Soul", which is what he calls his students in his emails. His method of teaching is very clear and methodical. From the way he teaches, I can tell that he truly cares about his students and he wants them to succeed. He tries so hard to make sure you understand the class material. Tests are very fair.
