Professor Robert Karron is an AMAZING person overall not only in school but also outside of school. He is always there to support everyone with ANYTHING. I've taken his ENG 2 class at SMC and transferred to a 4-year University. He makes sure to prepare everyone for the real world or a 4-year University. He is the BEST professor I've ever had.

I took Professor Karron last year in the fall and he was amazing! There were lots of papers to write but I can assure that he definitely made me a good writer. He might be pretty hard if you're not good at writing, and if you are he will for sure make you improve. ALWAYS listen to his feedback and you should be able to pass his class.

Literally amazing! He was really nice and lets you text/call him whenever (ofc in a timely/respectful manner). Be prepared to take his feedback critically; he is straight up with his comments. Let's you discuss his feedback if you struggle, and has a friendly attitude. He goes step by step with u personally on writing issues you might have.

BEST PROF AT SMC!! 3 papers (5 pages each), weekly hw is to summarize a podcast episode and a research paper. He really cares about his students, his flexible with due dates, let's you re-write papers for full credit, and teaches you how to write great papers step by step. You really have to try if you want to fail. Easy A. Plus, he is hilarious.

AMAZING PROF! I hate English but I love him. He makes English fun and I definitely feel like a better writer. The class consists of short homework every week, 4 papers, and one final. You will get an A if you put in some effort. He's very caring and lets you call him and text him whenever. You won't regret it.

Read about 3-4 novels and write a 3 page essay on each. He walks you through exactly how he wants the essays written. In class discussions, must show up. No reason to get anything less than a B. Lets you rewrite essay if you get less than a C, which you shouldn't unless you are trying to fail.

I had Professor Karron for English 1 and 2 and I highly recommend his class. He is a caring, passionate, and personable professor. For English 1, he takes time out of class to meet with each student individually. He truly wants every student to succeed. He makes English interesting and fun! I can't recommend Professor Karron's classes enough!

Professor Karron is the best English teacher. In this class, you will read and write a lot, but he gives great feedback and allows you to rewrite all your papers. The class consists of 3 essays, a research paper, and a final. He's the nicest professor you will ever have. I missed the final and he let me come in the next day. Highly recommend!

I suck at English & he made it so much easier to write an essay! He is such a sweetheart, he genuinely cares & offers a lot of help if you need it. He lets you rewrite essays if you do bad on them. I will say to receive an A, you have to be a pretty good writer but overall he is so lenient and sweet you will not find a nicer professor than him!

Professor Karron is the best English teacher I've ever had. The one thing that made this class different from my other English classes is the way we write papers. He really wants you to think WHY the author wrote what he/she did instead of just telling a story. Books were enjoyable and class was interesting :)

Had to read 6 books, 2 graphic novels and 4 long books. 3 papers and a final. Very tough grader. If u want a B its not that bad at all but to get an A I think you have to be an exceptionally excellent writer. Very vague with what he wants and extremely disorganized. Was somewhat not the nicest person to me personally even when I tried my best.

Sweetest English professor. He truly cares for his students and encourages you to ask for help if needed. He also REALLY appreciates student discussions. Easy class by just following everything he says. I had Prof. Karron for English 1 and 2 and I can definitely say he has helped me become a better writer 100%. Take him! You won't regret it.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. Very caring, funny and helpful and will really put himself out to help you understand class material. By the end of the semester I was a much better writer and very confident about being able to produce a 10 page essay. Would highly recommend him and take another English class with him for sure.

He's a teacher who cares for his students, and want them to succeed. He gives you three papers to write, and gives you the opportunity to rewrite if you get a C or below. He gives great feedback so I recommend you to email your drafts before its dues cause it helps a lot. Very funny prof and you will learn to become a better writer.

Professor Karron saved my life literally! He's been so understandable about my situation and regardless the fact I was absent too many times (dont do the same mistake, show up!) he boosted my grade because he knows how much I needed a good grade to be accepted at my university. Professor Karron, I will be eternally grateful for what you did for me!

We read 3 books, a graphic novel, and a play. Wrote 3 essays, and the books we didn't write an essay on is on the mini-essay final. When it comes to writing the paper, Karron will guide us through step by step. Send your paragraph to him through email, and he will fix it for you. He lets you rewrite paper if you have a C or lower.

350 characters are not enough to describe how wonderful professor Karron is. He is definitely my favorite at SMC. He cares about everyone in class, and he wants everyone to succeed. His topics are interesting and he tells you exactly what he wants. His feedback (in class and email) is very helpful. It is not an easy A, but trust me its worth it

His lectures are very casual, he likes to discuss and analyze the literature together. He values participation and input from students. He is a bit tough when grading the papers, but he gives great feedback and lets you rewrite them. Very nice and easy to talk to. I highly recommend him.

Great professor! He has made me a better writer! Tough grader but I appreciate that. He gives a lot of helpful feedback on essays. He has great taste in literature. Books were entertaining. He teaches you how to write like a Harvard student. He is sweet, easy going and easy on the eyes! Would take again. Passed with an A.
