I must admit Robert's lectures are amazing actually, because his teaching ability and knowledge are outstanding among professors. However, his tests and exams are harder than normal introductory courses. If you want to get good grade, you must learn much more beyond his teaching.

Tough course but really good professor. Explains everything well, and is easily approachable. Funny and not so hardo. Exams are made hard and graded tough so even if you don't achieve a good grade like I did you still feel like you understand the course. Best Prof so far at UofT.

He was a great professor and very good at explaining concepts. He also provided a lot of materials to use to study off of, unlike the other econ professors. It is a very hard course, but if you put the work in, you will succeed.

Gazzale was by far my favourite professor of the year. He made learning the course enjoyable with his amazing lecture videos and all-around great personality. The course was not easy, but if you understand everything in the lectures (not just memorize, but genuinely understand) you can do great in the course.

Professor Gazzale is a fantastic teacher, really great at explaining the concepts in ECO101 and provides us with plenty of resources to practice, practice, practice. ECO101 is a notoriously hard course, but the professor provides you with everything you need to succeed (in my opinion, at least).

I can't stress enough that this should not be a class that you take just randomly. The tests were extremely difficult and the average for the second midterm was around a 45%. Unless you are going into a field related to Economics, do not take this class. I had to drop last second so that my GPA didn't get destroyed. Lectures were funny however.

ECO101 was hard, but the professor was AMAZING! His lectures are nothing close to dry but filled with humor. I really do love his humor, he is an awesome teacher, although the course is made extremely difficult, as grasping the material was hard but manageable. The course was amazingly organized with LOTS of past test for practice. - From 2021 Fall

Absolute legend in teaching. Course is well organized and his lectures are just wonderful and logical. TBH tests are brutally hard but the curves are really juicy. Work hard and you will do well in the course.

Prof G. is really a good prof even though his tests are always hard. I like the way he taught and all contents are well organized. The grade I got is over my expectation, and of course, I worked hard for this course.

Professor Gazzale is an awesome professor! He explains all the concepts clearly, and he's humorous in class. He's tests are hard but fair, and he gives a lot of curve (eg. a 11 points curve on the term test) when students don't do well. Not as hard as I thought the course would be.

Pretty good, clearly knew his content and the lectures in my opinion were pretty clear and transparent. In my opinion, he makes the content very interesting. The tests are decently hard and you do really need to know your stuff if you want to do well, more theory based than the weekly quizzes which are computationally based.

Dr. Gazzale is great. I never thought I would take economics before, and now I found out I actually liked it. People say his grade is tough, although I have always been an "art" person instead of a "science" person, I don't find it as hard as they say. However, the course does get harder towards the end. Outside of classroom he was also nice.

A really difficult class, unless you have taken ECO101 courses before. Unless it's a mandatory course, I would suggest not taking it. Extremely difficult term tests, and they determine your final grade. The Prof was actually really nice, but the material was just too challenging.

Gazzale is an absolute economics legend. As a total econ rookie, having never taken it in high school, he introduced the topics well, in a meaningful and logical way. The online videos were, as far as videos go, good, but his in-person workshops were always helpful and frequently fun. Tutorials are structured very well, and tests are hard, but fair

Comment:
Unorganized, poor communicator. Bad lecture. And refuses to help... His midterms and final exam are insane, and not related to what anything he provided. He was seen by many others in the exams smiking and laughing when students couldnt attempt any of his questions. You better off sleeping than take his couse. This is completely meaingless
